Alder Report - 050109

I hit Alder primarily today, though I did stop by Beech and Cedar, but with nary the same success.

Alder was on. I started crappie fishing. First cast, small bass. After a few more casts, I then landed 3 nice bluegill in a row.

I moved around a bit determined to catch some crappie. I ended up landing three crappie with the biggest one probably close to 10inches. I was slow rolling a 2in grub on a 1/16oz jig head.

I decided then to switch my focus to bass and decided to try out a wacky rigged four inch Yamamoto senko. I had pretty good success with it as I landed four nice bass with the biggest probably going about 1.25lbs. The other three were all at least a pound each.

On the day, I ended up with 5 bass, 3 crappie, and 5 bluegill in Alder.
I also had a bass and a bluegill in Cedar.

If it were easy, they'd call it catching!
