Matt, Dustin (not the new one from Georgia), and I went to a local pond at 2 30 this afternoon. We were met by really nice weather (Dustin and I were able to take our shirts off). Matt started off the day with a 1lb 6oz bass. Then I hooked this 2 lb 10 oz bass.
Then Matt caught a few more little bass. I then caught this 3lb 3 oz bass.
We walked around the lake and picked up a few dinks. Went back to our same spot and hooked a 4 lb bass. This is the biggest LMB I have ever caught!!!!!!!!
Here are Matts.
Then lots of thunder and lightning came so we worked on the boat. Then we came back hooked a few dinks, and it cooled off and became really cold, and more rain came so we worked on the boat some more. Then we went to Cedar, it got dark so we worked on the boat some more. We finished our fishing and boat building day at 9pm.
Matt ended up with 10 and then 1 on cedar. I had 5 on.
Who had the better day? It is hard to decide hahaha.

The wacky seems to be old faithful for you. There is nothing like having a reliable bait. The trick is gaining confidence in another bait to slam them with.

charlie, get you some white zoom super flukes or case salty sinking shad. texas rig them weightless with some a 3/0 or 4/0 EWG hook and work the jerk.
shoudl be dynomite right now...of course, you can always go back to wacky's if it aint working.
I think I'd do some buzzing in the twilight hours as well. love a good buzzbite

Not in Fairfax.....
I have the flukes..I use them at Bdam...wacky worm is my go to bait, because there are so many options of how you rig it, what size and color. Whenever I get the chance to go back out there I will try them...

I LOVE working flukes just below the surface. Got some HUGE blowups on them last year.
