Spring Break Stripers with Grandsons April 4

Too cold and windy to go crappie fishing this morning.  Took the boys out around 9:30 for stripers.  We were trolling 6 rods today.  After about 30 minutes or so a rod starts squealing and Benjamin has a fight on his hands.  The wind made maneuvering the boat difficult to not tangle everything, but he got it in just fine......a nice fat 24"er.

Cody is up next and we get another hit quickly on the waaaayy back rod.  He fights like a pro and eventually gets it to the boat.  His 3rd ever keeper!

Then the wind really picked up and they got cold. I took one more pic before we headed in for chilli dogs for lunch big_smile .

Too hard with trolling motor in the 10-15 wind for crappie.  Big motor for stripers!
