So his PFD didn't inflate. So scary to think you can have all the gear and still not survive. I wear an automatic in the boat but I always wear a regular life jacket in the kayak.

Some of those PFD's are manual. Who knows what happened but falling in to the cold water makes you gasp...and swallow water.

I have never felt safe in a kayak with a seat like that. Center of gravity is just to high. Have seem many flip on something simple as a hooks. And lost gear
Sad someone lost their life.
