Below are some of the guidance as detailed by a long time guide...some I find kinda funny or strange.
I did take the liberty of removing many of the bullet points but I did not edit any of them.
Items to bring
• If you don’t have rods, use ours @ $10 each. That pays for the line you will lose. You must pay for loss or damage and can range from $150 to $500.
• Sun Screen—and if you are taking prescription medicine, advise your guide.
• Hook removal tool such as Handyman or plyers.
• Good attitude because a grumpy client may be sent home without refund.
• USCG approved Life Jacket—especially if you are very large or small
What to Expect
• 100% effort from our guides
• How well you do on your day depends upon the weather, your skill level and the attitude of the fish.
• The dangers on this water exceed most others. You must obey the guide.
On The Water
• When the boat is running—set in your seat with your feet firmly on the floor—looking straight ahead. Do not move around and do not talk.
• Please do not stand on the decks. Anglers must be on the floor of the boat.
• Please do not cast over other’s line. Stay in your “zone.”
• Please fish from the same side of the boat. Your guide will advise you.
• Do not clutter the boat. This is a safety factor.
• I insist that my guides fish. Watch him for technique. He will never “hog” a hole.
• Do not “relieve yourself” without advising the guide. He may have to move to a safer area to allow that.
This is not meant to be all-inclusive, but rather a “heads up” to aid your adventure.

Carly’s rules rule!
I do like the “don’t clutter the boat” one.
It’s just odd that the person has to fish from the boat and not from the decks. Most bass boats, including mine, have ample deck space. Oh…that’s right, the guide fishes from the front seat and the guests fish from behind.
Makes you appreciate the guides that fully focus on the client catching fish. Yes, I’m talking to you Capts. Mike and Dave!

Wonder if the USCG goes along with the client furnishing required boat gear - life jackets. Never heard that one before. Hi

Thanks , That set of rules are mostly donkey dust. I only have one major rule beside having fun. If you fall out of the boat I have a gaff to help lift you back in...LOL

My rule#1 was, stay in the boat. Rule #2 was like it, stay in the boat. I only had one overboard in ten years.

The Capt Mike rule I'm glad I followed was BRING A RAIN SUIT. Didn't know there were others.

I did too
Turns out that bottle of clear liquid Dr. Pepper was not Dr. Pepper at all; therefore the new rule was "No hard liquor on my boat"
