We're supposed to get "torrential" rains today. The hype is real!
NOAA's gauge prediction at POR says the following (as of 10a today).
Sometimes they are right but often they are way off!
Following Curly's snow prediction threads, where will the river top out at on Tuesday night?

I see what you did there...

Look at the jump @ Edwards Ferry vs. Point of Rocks. Pretty cool to see.

Look at the Goose and the Monocacy. That's where all the water is coming from.
The 'doah had just a slight bump.
Storm stayed east of POR.

5.23' and Ernie's a winner!

I saw a vid of the Monocacy and it was raging brown!
George took this pic of the ramp at Algonkian on Monday.

So...how do we go from a 9.8' prediction to 5.23'? That's being off by 40+%!

Shovel wouldn't do much good in that! The predictions are way off since we got so dry. Looks like we are getting some more regular soaking rains now, which is good.

Let's see how this one plays out. The bogey this time is that all of the Potomac rived tribs (way up stream) will be getting a good soaking.
Tomorrow would be a good day to fish if you can manage the winds!

I will say 9 feet. Can I update before tonight?

Prediction is up to 16.5' now...
'doah gauges are way up!
I'll go with Lucky 13.

Holy frijoles! 12.5 for me

Looks like Lucky 13 it is! Mucho agua.

Another bold prediction by NOAA?

I'll take 14.5.

It's interesting, their prediction now is 14.1', 20 hours later. They have yet to hit their mark or come close to it. History says it will top out at < 14'. Let's see how it plays out.
All I know is that the 'mac has more water flowing through it than it's had for a few years.

Hiked by the P spot. Spit of land is gone. Water up to the trail. River's up and flowing good. Creek is full but not over it's banks
