A little chill in the air this morning at sunrise. Fleece jacket and warm hat was employed. Plan was simple "Catch a snakehead on a fly" however it is not an easy thing to do. We headed out with wisps of moisture rising from the water at 72 degrees. It was in the 50s I would guess. Started on some hard edges with a nice outgoing and caught a couple nice ones. One fly and one spinning rod. At around 9 ish the tide stopped and so did the bite. We hit six more spots quickly and ended at noon. Several bass and two snakehead hits..LOL you always count the hits...

Next weekend I start with the tin boat. Have some new ideas and some new lures. Looking forward to evening trips again.
Not really booked up, oddly. Maybe it was the glitch in my website request form.. But I am sure the requests will start back up soon.
Frog hatch is mid June and last year August was hot for snakehead...not so much for LGMouth. Maybe better this year.
Keeping the rod count down to 14 or less most evenings. Under 100lbs of tackle too.
Who am I kidding...
