Missed the run somehow last year.
What is the earliest that they have showed up at Occoquan ?
With a full moon overhead and early morning tides and a throw of the chicken bones I am guessing April 6th and 7th.
I am stoked for shad this year. Hope I get time to go.
Just got some really cool under spin darts in 1/8 , 1/4, 1/16th.
25 for 19 bucks.
Anybody care to guess?

I'm guessing the shad will be here earlier with the mild weather. Where did you get those darts? I need some!

I got a bunch of those underspins a couple of years back and really like them. But what I've found is that the shad like everything...we just have to figure out what ticks them off that day.
Last year, Bob got a hit and a jump on 3/15. Then, we went out on 3/22 and caught 15. It just got better after that...
If the morning weather holds up, Bob and I will be doing an exploratory trip on Thursday. Stay tuned.
