Spring in the Mid Chesapeake Bay

Been out several times this Spring. Bite was good early on, but in this region it always gets tough during the April-May timeframe. Been having fun with specks and reds regardless. Bite really started to pick up last weekend but I'm going on vacation so I won't be able to get back out on the bay until late June. Summer bite should be in full swing by then!

Go get em Ernie! Don't really need to go much further than the mouth of the Potomac. Your boat would work great out on the grass flats.

A friend of mine has a house boat somewhere down on the Lower Potomac. I need to get down there. Plus, there are white perch around!

Yep. On my summer trips I'll always hit a few docks and I usually catch some real nice perch off them. I bring an UL setup just for that.
