When I chatted with Bill at the Dale City Tackle Show on Saturday, he asked if I was available to go fishing this week. The answer was easy..."YES"! But we had to figure out which day had the least amount of wind.
So today was it.
We put in just after 8a and it was a cold 26dF out but I didn't whimper. No cat calls for me today!
We had a 3rd on board, Mylo.
He kept me warm as we ran up river.
The 1st stop or two only produced a strong hit and break off for Bill.
I was using a drop shot and got some pullage!
Shortly thereafter, Bill declares "Fish On" and he lands another 'eye!
Milo barks when Bill catches a fish and then gets a lick in.
A short while later, Bill hooks up.
That was all before lunch.
No more hits after lunch.
The predicted winds stayed away for the most part and were never a factor.
Water temps got to 40.5dF but the bites were almost non existent.
Still, a great day to be out.
