I decided to get out before the rain to test my motor and fish some. I ran into Tom at the ramp, who said he has good videos of me from throughout the year. He may send them to me.
I decided to stay close due to low water level. I ran inside the islands just to the end of the second one. I took a picture from there.
The boat started up first pull, but did bog down after running on plane for a minute. It runs fine at slower speed, but not at on plan to full speed. Bummer and needs more diagnosis. I fished the inside of the island with no bites. Ifinally used the TM to go on the other side across from the ramp. I tried out there with no luck. Water was mostly gin clear, except almost to the MD side and some deeper pools. I ran down to the ledge. I finally got the skunk off with a dink on my little 2.8 inch swimbait setup. No pic.
I ran around and fished the open water, but got no bites. I was heading back up toward the ramp and decided to try around the ledge again. I finally hooked a good fish with the swimbait. It was 17.25" and stout, but had a sore with part of the top of it's tail missing.
That got me interested in trying some more and I managed one more 12"er in the same area. Wind was picking up and my allergies were getting bad, so I headed back in. I was off the water before 1pm. Water temps were 55-57 degrees.

Glad you got some action.
I wanted to go today (was originally planning on going yesterday and tomorrow) but had 2 doc appointments. Aargh!
Interestingly, I just told MD DNR that all the fish (few) that we have been catching are healthy.

That was some sort of injury. Maybe an Eagle or Osprey?
