7-14-21, Wicomico River

It was hot when we started and roasting when we finished but we had a very successful day.

On board today where John N. and his kids, Lily (6th grade), Hadley (5th grade) and Reagan (1st grade). And yes, Reagan was named for our former president.

I picked them up at 6:30a in Arlington and we were having Chaptico sausage/egg sammies before 8a.

Our 1st spot didn't produce like it should have but everyone got their skunks off!

We then made a move to the sand bar and it was a little better but still slower than what I like.

Hadley got a slam here; perch, spot and flounder!

I think I forgot the spot pic.

But we all caught a bunch!

Their casting kept improving after each cast...it was awesome to see!

Next, we went to St. Margaret's Island to catch a few perch...

...and perhaps get a glimpse of the peacocks in there. Which we did!

It was getting hot and they were slowing down so I saved the best for last..the beach!

They had a blast here. As well, John and I caught a few perch but not like we did on that infamous day last year with John L. and Quinn.

For some reason, the fishing was slower today than normal but we still managed way over 50.

Lily got 4 in a row at one point and we had many doubles.

We had snacks and lunch at the Market before hitting the road just before 2p.

Great day!!

It was hot!

I thought the same thing. But after snacks and drinks, only one fell asleep. And that was only for a little while. They played games in the back seat all the way to Arlington. Fun kids...lots of energy!
