Upper Potomac 4/20/21

I got out and fished from about 8am until 12:30pm.  Beautiful day, but tough fishing.  Sunny skies, winds blowing stuff from the trees and fast water were not favorable.  Fished tubes, ned, cranks and the wacky stinger.  Really thought I was going to get skunked.  Tried the flooded island and then just floated an island.

After lunch, I was completing my float down and I tossed the stinger in a a rocky shaded area.  I was just drifting it out when this healthy 17.5"er inhaled it.  I was able to net it after a nice fight.

I was happy to get the skunk out and satisfied with a nice fish.  I floated a little more and checked the next island. but the wind was picking up and I decided to call it a day.  Water was about 57 degrees when I checked it.  Water was just over 4 foot at POR and falling.

This is the 3" Stinger I was using.  Weird wacky setup, but caught 2 nice fish.
