LKA Crappie Monday and Tuesday

Got a text from Kevin Malone last Friday asking about the crappie here.  I reported that they were all small and the big girls were still deep.  After hunting for bigger fish Sat and Sun, that began to change on Monday with 18 keepers to 13.5 inches.  I would mark a school, but they just would not eat in the morning............Fish would not bite until the afternoon.  Monday and Tuesday around 2 pm, those same schools would feed and then shut down around 5 pm.  Same deal on Tuesday.....13 keepers in the afternoon to 13 inches. Probably threw back 50-75 each day that were under 10-11 inches.  Here is the wife with 2 decent ones yesterday.

Minnows the last two days.  Will use jigs when they get aggressive.

Nice slabs! Gonna try my hand at some at either Little Seneca Lake, or maybe the Occoquan in later this month.
