Went out on Kent island on my friends Chesapeake deadrise. Anyone who has gone out at shipping creek see's it as one of the working boats tied up. Headed out at 8 am on a beautiful day where the water was like glass. 1200 ft of line with chicken necks and pulled in about 5 trash cans of she-Bettys (females) that were huge and heavy and 2/3 a bushel of males that were large. Only out for 3 hours and the bait was half gone and the tide was slack. Life is good on the water on days like this. Pic/Video to come.

That's a mess of crabs! Surprised at the ratio of females to males. Due to time of year (males harvested)?

It's this time of year when the ratio is high for females. I mean these gals had junk in the trunk! They were huge and so heavy.
Here is a slow mo of the aftermath! all nice size and heavy!
