8-5-20, Chesapeake Bay

The plan was the hunt for the red fish.

Jamie, John and I met Capt. Dale at Pt. Lookout for an afternoon of searching for bull reds. Before Isaias came through, they were catching some and even had top water boils.

But this was the day after the storm. Some say a high right after a low shuts the fish down. Some say the fish may have move around. All I know is that  we did a lot of this...

...as we searched. All I know is that we covered a lot of ground and marked a ton of bait but we never found them...or they never bit.

As the afternoon waned we made a quick pity stop to redeem ourselves.

The blue with the Surface Tension lure hanging from his mouth went 20". This lure has caught many a top water fish for me...and it doesn't float!

Great day to be out and the search for the red fish shall continue!

Glad you caught some fish. Better than what I did yesterday (i.e. work haha) tongue

Together we'll fight the long defeat.
