Didn't think I would make it out today, but the winds were not bad around 2PM so I made it out from 3-5PM. Water wasn't as muddy as I thought it'd be from the light rain and snow melt off. Typically Lake Needwood gets really bad if it rains for more than a day since it collects so much run off creek water. Winds got REAL bad around 5:15.
I brought a white chatterbait with chartreuse grub tail, and a spinning rod with a orange roostertail. No hits on either one from the bank. Water was still pretty cold, I'd guess about 40 degrees so they are probably somewhere deeper than the 3-4' around the bank areas.
I have no idea where they are in the hot summer and cold winter...there has to be a deep hole somewhere where they are congregating.
Spring/Fall I kill it there with top water and senkos.
Still O'fer for 2019.
