My buddies and I finally got to go down to luray to get some fishing/camping done. While it was a blast, there were not as many fish caught this time, but there was A LOT of money lost due to a capsizing of a canoe. In hindsight the capsizing was funny but at the time it was sketchy at the least. My brother and I were in a different vessel so we managed to escape that same fate. It was a good time to test out my inflatable kayak, and it stood up to the test really well. I may have overinflated the bottom chamber since we were a little bit unstable. Here are some pics!
The crew! Some good men right here
This was on the larger side of the fish we caught, not as big as usual unfortunately
We'll be going back again at the end of summer, and already I can't wait to get back!
If anyone else has been on the south fork, have you noticed the water level being quite low?

Nice report and pics. I'm thinking of doing a short float tomorrow on a different river.

Interesting website, so is it that the higher the discharge the lower the water level? Slightly confusing graphs
