Originally, Mike and I were going to fish the Upper River for smallies but the water levels are still high so we opted for Plan B. And it was a good plan indeed!
We set off around 7:15a....
...and it did not take long for the skunks to come off!
Mike was throwing a swim jig and I was throwing a 4" tube with a rattle (and red legs).
The tide was at dead low and it did not matter...we caught fish!
And lots more including this one with a spike!
As the tide came in (later), the bite slowed so we did as well. We started to throw the wacky and got whacked several times!
We both caught "limits" and then some. Lots of 2-3 pounders with two of them @3.5lbs. And some little ones too. More than 20 in total with Mike in double digits (I was close).
Heck of a fishing day...beautiful day....great time!

The pads look great and this weekend I start my summer season.. May is gone and I only have one more wedding to attend. So many weddings....
Good work guys...I am a wee bit green.

Great job! I was thinking about where you might get out to. Glad to see you got out and it was productive!

I forgot to add that Mike did get a snakie to the boat but it got off. On a wacky rig!
