Lake Frederick 4/16

Hit Lake Frederick with a buddy yesterday. Tough fishing, but we got a few bass when we downsized our tackle. Biggest we caught was 3.5, but we saw an 8+ beast cruising around a cove near the surface.  There were some beds, but not as many as I would have thought. Didn't see a single crappie, I guess they finished spawning. Bunch of catfish hanging out in the laydowns along the shore though. Water was 64 and clear.

I believe it. This was only my second time on the lake, but I have never seen such non-aggressive bass. You can almost hear them laughing at you. We gave up on throwing anything but very light finesse rigs after a couple hours.
