Curly and I were on the water before 8 and it was a beautiful day. Mid 40's when we started.
We looked everywhere, burned at least 12 gallons of fuel. We found birds and bait but no love with the stripers.
Snagging two shad prevented a total skunk!
We did see a fella catch a fat 18 incher down at Dike 3, he was using live bait.
The winds then picked up fast so we scooted back early and got off the water before any trouble could set in.
Glad to get a fishing day in as our Saturday trip is now cancelled due to coooooold!

Dike 3 is a popular spot to fish (on the public side). It's very productive during the spring I've noticed.
