Anxious to try this new WP lure this summer.....
Yes, it looks like a Road Runner but there are some fairly major differences. It will be tipped with a 2" curly tail or a small BA.
They are not cheap but neither are Woody's lure. I just want them to catch big white perch.
BTW, any curly tail 1/8 oz spinner rig will catch white perch. Even the old beetle spins. I am hoping this will attract the bigger fish which hang around the bottom and don't chase lures as readily as the smaller more immature ones.

Do you have one in hand? From the pic that looks like a ball bearing swivel, which would explain the expense. Aside from that it looks a lot like a stump jumper. The ongoing quest for perch continues.

Yes and yes + a very nice hook, perfect size for the bigger perch. I also like the line eye position.....

Yep!
I will show it to Grady Black at the Lake Shore show to see if we can duplicate it at a lower cost.
This can be jigged or dragged along the bottom for our shallow water game.

I saw Mike ot the Frederick show. He's bringing some 1/8 oz baits for me. Guess I'll be over spending my limit again Saturday. Do you have anything I need more of so I'll know to stuff my wallet?

I have caught some fish with the 3/16 and 1/4oz on the Occoquan and Anna. Super fluke Jr's and lil dippers worked well for trailers. Stripers liked em too. I bet the small ones will work well for WP as well.
