Hit 4 of the ponds again hoping for a bite. Saw a big girl in the back cove of Cedar, but just could not get her to bite . Did finally get bit at the rock pile over by Ernie's house . Not a big one, but I'll take it since is my first bass in 24 days. Lakes will freeze over again for at least a week after today .

How did you "see" her? Did she come up? That water is kinda murky.....

Sitting in fairly clear water up near the bio-logs in about 2 feet of water. Looked to be 4 to 4-1/2 lbs and waiting on crawdads to come out. Completely ignored my P&J .

That must have been frustrating.....I did notice the water was more clear when I walked the paths this afternoon.

I went out today to follow in Curly's footsteps, except no Curly W for me

Driving past Lake Ashburn morning morning it was completely frozen. It made me think of fishing. That reminded me that when I went out this weekend I saw someone kayaking on Ashburn! They were paddling up right next to the shore along a narrow, unfrozen section just past the dock. It was an interesting site to see. I couldn't tell if they were fishing or not. Either way, hard core!

Had to be someone who got a kayak for christmas and couldn't wait any longer to try it out! Glad he was so excited.
