8-11-08 OBX report
I hit the sound (put in near Pirates Cove) today early in the kayak....went solo.I paddled about a half mile north and fished the bulkheads. Caught flounder 
and sea robins. 
I saw Rick Caton who was on a Waterman's Trip....
Then I paddled south about a mile and hit the marshes. Very fishy water....
.....lots of mullet and other bait jumping all around me but I only caught 1 puppy drum.
It was a beautiful day with low humidity.
Fairly slow morning but very relaxing! Caught everything on a 3/8 jig with a shrimp Gulp and a "clacker" float. I threw other jigs, hard plastics to no avail.
Going back on Wednesday with Doug Errett (Old Man).
I will post pics when I get back....if I decide to come back. Every year I threaten to stay down here!
