I saw this posted in the comments section of the loudoun times:
"Baloney! After spending $30 million, Loudoun Water has no obligation to uphold a gentlemen’s agreement that Fairfax had with the rowers. The fact is that the rowing community is well-heeled and very well politically connected. Just one example is Mark Peterson, who serves as executive director of stakeholder relations at Loudoun Water, and both sits on the board of the Virginia Scholastic Rowing Association and is their treasurer. This may or may not have influenced the special exemption, but it sure raises some smell-test questions"

If it is true, this is total BS.

Actually, the treasurer of Virginia Scholastic Rowing is named Jim so that is completely false.

OK, if someone in the local media does not run with this..........well? Oh yeah.......most media outlets are pro-incumbent and very pro-liberal......never mind .
On second thought.........kick the rowers out due to an unreported conflict of interests. Sounds like Peterson needs to be relieved of his "County duties" for not reporting this conflict of interests. ......personally I'd just flat out fire his @$$.

Great info NOVA!
As Dan suggested, we are meeting at Lost Rhino on Thursday. I urge everyone to come.
Curly- we are talking to some media folks....but Peterson does not work for the county. He works for Loudoun Water which is its own entity. The BOS appoints the Board members but they do not control what they (LoCo Water) do. In effect, they are a monopoly. There are scores of people doing some digging!
As well, Dan and others that are VERY involved, are bringing many parties to the table. The pressure is on.
Please take a look at this video from the June 4 meeting. The young lady that spoke was the star!

I am going to close this thread and replace it with another one titled; "The future of Beaverdam Reservoir"
