I decided to get out and hit Burke Lake on Wednesday 5/21. I got out early and was on the water about 6:30AM. Water was brown stained through the whole lake due to recent rains. It was the muddiest I have seen it. I decided to start with large subsurface baits near a creek entry and after a bit I caught a small walleye on a full-size chartreuse minus 1. That was my first walleye ever. It was fairly small 16-17" and skinny. I did not get a picture because it was half snagged and I wanted to get it back in the water. Next was a white crappie on a tube near a blowdown. Then I got a hard hit and I thought I had a nice bass, but it turned out to be a catfish that was over 5 lbs. that took a TUBE.
I moved to the next cove and I finally got a bass on a tube skipped to mid-cove submerged wood structure. It was a bit over 14" but fought hard.
I did not get anything else for a while and moved back to the first cove. I caught another similar sized catfish skipping the tube to a blowdown.
I was trying different lures back in the cove and was using a large double willow War Eagle spinnerbait when I hooked and lost a larger bass that jumped and threw me before I could get the hook set well.
I was working my way back to leave as my battery was dieing. I decided to try a white chatterbait on a weedline and hooked a nice 16"er.
I caught one more smaller bass on the chatterbait after that and called it a day by 1:00PM. Water is getting warm and I think most of the bass are just done spawning. 4 species made the day interesting and a good day overall.

Nice job on the different species! Seems like a great place to fish given the variety.
