Lunch time fun

I stopped by one of the lakes during lunch mindlessly casting a crank while enjoying the sun. On one cast while reeling in I felt the crank come to a complete stop. Then before I could react my reel starts screaming! I never saw the fish but the way it was pulling drag it was either a carp or one of the fancy kois I've seen roaming around. It was pulling a lot more line and a lot harder than the other carp I hooked. I had it on for about a minute, most of which it was running, and I was feeling confident I was going to land this beast. Not a moment later on another run it came unbuttoned sad I was a bit disappointed because I thought it was hooked well. Other than that event I only caught two bass under a pound. Still lots of fun smile

Together we'll fight the long defeat.
