4-19-14, Potomac river

Today was a spectacular day to go fishing!

Jeff and I covered a lot of water in search of stripers....

....but to no avail.

But....Jeff brought some hoagies from Fresh Market that were incredible! We now have a close by place to get some good subs!


Time to go fishin' again!

Even though I have spin and fly fished for shad, they still are really a baitfish..... tongue  They are definable fun with the right tackle but the possibility of tackling a mid 30's striper on medium tackle is still a better lure for me, pun slightly intended.


Time to go fishin' again!
