Today I fished with BC, who I have known for 45 years or so, and Brian. Brian had never caught white perch or stripers.....that would change today!
We got on the water as the moon was setting...
....and the sun was rising!
Incredible weather and calm seas to boot!
I wanted the skunk off quickly and we accomplished that at the 1st stop!
We kept a few 9.5 inchers but we wanted some bigger ones. Fishing inside the jetties was a bit slow.
But it was even slower at stop #2 and at Mo's hole.
You know how I don't like "stuff" in my boat...here is BC's cooler.
...and it had wheels!
Anyway, we made a run down bay to some structure that had produced before and we scored!
Big perch!
Almost keeper stripers!
As a matter of fact, we caught 5 stripers here that were 17.75". It was uncanny. I could not stretch one to keeper size....which Brian wanted really bad!
We worked our way back to Deale but things were slow everywhere we stopped. Except for one WP that was in the shadows under a dock....
He went 11.5"...nice!
Great day on the water and Brian got to take a dozen fat perch home for dinner tonight....plus we got to stop at Big Dave's BBQ for a brisket sammie! All is good!!
