6-29 Algonkian

Tyler and I had lines in at 5:30 am.  The topwater bite was hot early and it was hard for me to keep up with Tyler when he could catch 2 at a time!

We ended up with around 25-30 smallies and 3 catfish.  Here is one of Tyler's 13" fish.

My big fish was a fat 16-3/4"

Catfish on minnow jerk baits all less than 2 lbs.  Very few carp seen today.  Water is still a little muddy.

You should have seen Pohick. I went for three hours and there were carp EVERYWHERE. They were thrashing all over the place a d some looked like they could have sunk my boat. Fishing was terrible though. No bites, water was muddy and pushing fast out of the creek. I cut the day short before noon.
