Started out with a dozen eater sized released. And then this guy hit.
And then it started to sleet and temps dropped. Then a freezing wind picked up and more sleet/rain. The fish just stopped hitting and after two hours with no real hits we headed for the dock.
Man it got cold quick.

I almost got overboard when trying to see the big one in the water.
I have a question. Were some of catfish floating on the side? It happend to me in Lake Anna when I pulled them from the bottom of 50' of water.
Then Later Redfish pulled them from the bottom of 30' of water, all looked OK in Potomac.

Yes they needed to be burped. Fast check is pat the belly and if inflated like a BALLON you give a gentle side squeeze. If no burb then the plastic tube inserted will remove the pressure while laying on there belly.
If you do not burp they will surface 20 yards away and die.
