Got out for a bit last Saturday. Overcast and mild, mid 50's - not bad for mid-January. Water was 38 degrees and stained, but not quite muddy. Lots of floating logs and debris. Plenty of bait and arches marked on the graph, especially the area between Hoffmasters & 95 bridge. We managed to catch a crappie, a tiny bluegill and a juvenile striper, all from a small stretch of channel ledge below a bridge piling. They were tight to the drop, mostly in 8-18 feet of water. All caught on a gold 3/8 oz blade bait, popping it gently off the bottom in a vertical fashion. Caught the 3 in a little 10-minute flurry at the end of outgoing tide, and that was it for the rest of the day.

That's the better kind of 'flurry' for this time of the year. Glad you got out.

At least you got some pullage. The yellow perch should start moving in there soon.........my next trip on the boat will be at the Big O once the female YP start showing up.

Dang that looks like my boat before the restoration process. 16ft tracker? 2001 or thereabouts?
