Fished Back River in Poquoson.

We started off at a stretch by a duck blind where it gets shallow after you cross the channel. 



I caught two small trout here.



Kyle caught a small puppy drum.

Then Adam then hooked up with a sea monster.  He fought it on his medium action rod for 25 minutes.



I snapped a few pictures and then he let it go.




We then paddled across the river to the government pier.  This is where they used to practice dropping bombs a while back.  It is 1ft throughout most of the area, but we found a 2.5ft stretch.  We fished topwater for 2 hours until dark. 



I had a blowup, but the fish did not come back.  Adam caught this 18" trout.



It was a decent day of fishing, but wish we would have caught a few more fish.

This was also my first trip in my new commander.  I had planned to make it for freshwater only, but my bud wanted to go so I let him use my other yak.  It held up fine out their as it was not too rough.  It was nice have a depthfinder, so I will definitely be making it so that I can also mount my depthfinder on my ocean kayak.
