Lake thoreau - Reston Va

MY bro and I ventured over to thoreau, the middle lake in the chain of 3. we caught about a dozen fish, mostly smaller 8-12" in size all along the 100s of docks this lake provides.  landed a 2# in the very back near the bridge. plan to hit it again.  anyone else ever fish here?

Re: Lake thoreau - Reston Va

Yeah. The docks all around it have pretty good fishing like you said, especially near the pool and behind South Lakes Shopping Center. I've mostly thrown 3" senkos and caught bass, bluegill, sunfish, etc. Last time I was there I caught a fish every time I casted, for 22 casts. Not much over 12" though. I read an article last year about a kid that caught a 7 lb. largemouth out of Lake Audubon, I need to take a trip out there this summer.

"Fish," he said softly, aloud, "I’ll stay with you until I am dead."
