Im going to guess he had surgery on the bench at Cedar and doctor's had a monitor hooked up to his P&J. and knowing curly, he probably landed a 3-10 while out.

Been thinking of you today John
I know not fishing will be hard on you. I feel bad for Ellen, having to put up with you for a few weeks.
Maybe we can rig something up for you. I remember seeing something on a late night comericial about a lure launcher fishing pole. I will look in to it "for Ellen's sake"

Curly (John) - glad you're doing well. Having been there I know it's no fun. I wouldn't let that little pillow out of my hands for a couple of weeks but the recovery went way better than people had told me to expect.

I can just imagine Curly on the Moo board....that place can be scarry at times. But I have met some of the folks through the years and it's not so bad.

He's out of ICU and in to the Step Down Unit....as Ellen told me in an email, "he is very tired".

Thanks for the update.

It's no wonder he's tired. Working, coaching track, boating, fishing, and continually helping all of us understand and improve our fishing in Northern VA waters...who wouldn't be tired. And then to add the surgery on top of all of that...WOW!!
Anyway, we will continue to pray for a speedy and complete recovery for Curly.

Back home. Looks like I'll be fishing some this evening. My Group at work sent this over to the house.........

Did they give you a 3rd hand at the hospital? I see 2 holding the game and must be a 3rd taking the pic. Now you can fish 3 poles at a time! Sweet!

Just to clear up any confusion out there.............I had my aortic heart valve replaced with one from a cow during open heart surgery on Monday............thus the "Moo" comments. Since the surgery, I haven't felt like eating a hamburger yet .........maybe in a couple of weeks .

Looks like Dick Cheney just had a heart transplant in the same hospital ward that gave me a new heart valve. He's in the same ICU now, that I was in on Monday.
