3-10-12 Cold and Windy Big-O

Jeff and I delayed leaving the house about an hour and a half since it was below freezing at 7 am.  We had hopes of YP and crappie..............like the last time.  We knew it might be tough when we got to the ramp..........only to find 4 other trailers there in the lot.  Gave it our best shot for YP without a hit.  Saw a fella on one of the docks that looked like a guy named Dave that I worked with 20 years ago.  Rode up in the boat and asked him if his name was Dave........sure enough and he also remembered me.

Went in search of crappie/bass, only to land 2 bass.............both about this size.

We left the water around noon or so sad .  I headed to Alder for crappie when I got home.  No crappie, but this nice 3-1 wanted my "usual lure" big_smile .

I went 3 times last week for yellow perch and didnt get a hit.  Skunked all three times!  My boss caught one crappie.

Nice bass!

Curly,
Your pictures seem to be the best ones posted on this site. Always clear and sharp. What camera/settings do you use?

It's a 10-yr old Sony CyberShot 3.2 mega pixel.  Most cameras/cell phones today are 8+ mega pixel. My key is taking the pic with the greatest resolution on the camera and then downsizing the pic in Microsoft Paint to 40% (80% reduction in file size).  Excessive photo resolution will not come across in a Internet forum where 72 dpi (dots per inch) is about the best most forums can support........

For posting the best pics on this forum.........................I've found that re-sizeing pics to 150-200 kb works the best.

Thanks, Curly. I'll adjust my camera and production process accordingly. Now if I could just catch some fish to take pictures of....
