Occoquan 2-18-12

Jeff E. and I were on the water by 9:30 in search of YP.  By 10:30 we had found a few........but not many.   Most were small and we kept 8 for the cooler.  Wind picked up around 11 am and made boat control nearly impossible.  Then went in search of big crappie, since the perch were not there strong.  We finally found the big crappie around 1pm.  In all I guess we caught 20-25 YP (most were 4-6" sad ) and 30 or so crappie, keeping 13 of the bigger ones that were 11-13" big_smile

Nice work! I must have missed you guys as I was probably up under a dock. Crappie bite for us today was pretty good, hard to find a yellow perch though! I tried for a flathead with a live bluegill for awhile, no takers. Nice day to be out there though. Good to see you all found some for the plate.
