windy winter days

i have come to love late fall and early spring fishing

big wind usually means big action

bass get shallow and hammer rattletraps and spinnerbaits

i call it fast water and i love it

separate sessions today, less than 1hr each, resulted in eight fat 2lb largemouth.

i like braid for line, and look for some type of point, or even just a surf hammered bank.

burning the bait can result in some violent collisions,

i caught my last two pounder at ten after 5, pretty much last light for the day.

on the right body, i even hit'm in the dark sometimes this late in the year

best thing is, you the only fool out there...
