Ridiculous....I mean the snow! I was supposed to go with Capt. Sean Crawford to catch some bay stripies with the long rod....no way, Jose. We have a coastal low coming up.
Weird weather year for sure.
However, not for the wind, I was ready to go!

caught plenty-
rattletrap for bass and crappie
something about that bait in cold water they chase
at dusk I could see them busting bait all over in the skinny
threw a bomber micro on 4#
deadsticking, they were all over it

wear good shoes
i lost that rattletrap yesterday. what a shame. I bet i caught 300 fish on that little jewel in the past year or so...
the water was steaming a bit. the gales of wind and snow nearly pugilistic. but nothing my chicago cubs hat couldnt fend off
the fish felt like hand warmers. I found a drop where some stockier specimens were lurking
that place is old, like 30yrs or more
i speculate those hefty crappie are pinching down the tummies of the bass.
i have found this to be the ideal time to fish
the grass has collapsed, the fish are roaming, and broad swaths of water can be covered via rattletrap
