Charlie Hill and I hit Riverbend for a couple of hours before the PRSC Boat Night event. The weather was absolutely perfect.
I had not fished Riverbend in many a year...don't know why....need to get back there. We paddled up stream and then separated for a bit. Lots of fishy places.
I lodged my yak on a rock and ambushed a nice 14 incher....
And then hit another one that went 12".
On the way back, I caught 2 more (12, 14") off a ledge. The bigger one jumped several times....was not happy he was caught.
Riverbend has lots of possibilities and with more time, one can paddle up ad float down some great water. Lots of rocks and riffles. Some great scenery.
Here is Steve Copps' jet kayak....

Hi Ernie sorry I missed you call. I would have run down there. That is a beautiful spot. Lets plan a float from Algonkian to River Bend sometime. I floated it in 4hrs with a lot of paddling, probably need 6 to 7hrs. Once below seneca breaks you would think you are in a remote wilderness.

I'm a big fan of Riverbend. I've caught some nice smallies upriver from the park. Water looks better than when I was last there. Little lower, too. Regret that I missed the PRSC event. I had some work being done around the house.
