Fished Back river with Matt after I bought the boat. Went out for about 3 hrs in the yaks of which and hour was paddling around looking at stuff. I ended up with 3 croaker and 3 flounder and he caught 5 croaker. The flounder were all between 12 and 15 inches and the croaker were pretty. We were looking for specks and red also, but could not get one, maybe next time. Everything was caught on various colors of gulp swimming mulletts.

I really like it. I will be fishing it a bunch next year at school as it is only a 30 min drive there from my house.

I think the winter of '09-'10 really did a number on the specks and reds in the lower Chessy. I've only been down a couple times since then, but it just hasn't been the same.
Nice report and WTG on the flatfish!

Redskin,
Thanks for the report. it looks we can catch flounder now. I am planning to hit CBBT soon for Cobia. If the wind is too much I can hit Back River.
Thanks,
Joe
