Spent the last two weeks on my annual trip to Otter Tail county Minnesota, fishing and visiting with friends and family. Fishing was very good as always. We hit at least 7 or 8 different lakes and found fish on all of them. Caught a ton of largemouth, smallmouth, northern pike, a giant salamander, and panfish including some of the biggest bluegills I've ever caught. No walleyes this time.
I only included pics of myself, didn't want to damage anyone's reputation by associating them with me
Bass bit on a wide variety of lures from plastics to jerkbaits to frogs. Panfish were all on small jigs. The pike bit everything, and they were so thick this year that on some lakes it was practically impossible to catch anything else. We lost alot of tackle to those critters.
I always mean to take more pictures of the wildlife and scenery, but it's hard to put down the rod and pick up a camera sometimes.
Sucks to be back at work. Anybody want to pay me to fish in Minnesota all year?

That pike was loaded with black spot (Neascus) parasites. The panfish up there always have them, but I don't think I'd seen any on a pike before, and certainly not in that quantity. It does make them look pretty neat.
