Bobby Smith is a good Captain.
Those guys deserve some fish, it's been a few years since they have been able to fish off OI. I just wish they would reduce the keep number per person.....

Well I guess everyone was right... the fish did head south! Those guys haven't had a beach run in a long time, good to see some numbers showing up... but I agree, I wish they would lower the limit for the big girls. Oh well, let's hope they stay outside the 3 mile range and out of the nets... maybe we'll have a good spawning year?

Man...I wish they would leave those cows alone. I used to fish both OI and VA Beach in the winter but no more. The netters get even more of 'em. OK...off the soap box!
Back to back records is pretty incredible!

OBX trip anyone?
You know, the winter rental rates are pretty low, may be worth an expedition!
This, I have done (Destruction Saturday, December 27, 2003) and it's incredible fishing because they are BIG....weather is always a factor! The guide fees down there are in the $650+ (for 4) range for the day ($950+ for 6 but they mainly troll) vs $450-$550 (for 4) in the bay.
I know this, NO way that I would take my boat down there......that inlet can rear up!! Reese Stecher (BeachBum Fishing) literally surfed the waves back in when we fished. It was white knuckle time for sure.....
