Is there a big snow storm coming after Santa arrives?

Up for grabs: 1 of Woody's white perch lures.

This one is simple: How many inches of snow will Dulles record by midnight on Monday (Dec. 27)?

The answer MUST be submitted NLT midnight of the 24th.....yes, the 24th! We will see who the real prognosticators are. The models will still be going crazy by then (some have us getting @20 inches of snow)!

Ok I'm in with 1.2 inches.. As I  prefer my models shorter.

i will just hope for a picturesque blanket.

more would bring cheer to my friends in the snow removal business

less or none might help cash strapped state & local governments

Re: Is there a big snow storm coming after Santa arrives?

Officially we did not yet get a dusting even though it has snowed a few times in the last couple of days. NOAA is now calling for a couple of tenths of inches around here.

I still say "no snow" is out......T, greenRanger364v and captmikestarrett are in the game.....

Brutal winds tomorrow!

The better news is that they are calling for temps in the 40s on Thursday and Friday and in the low to mid 50s on Saturday. The bad news is that the lows will stay below freezing until Friday night.

Does anyone know where a boat can be splashed on Saturday without having to go to Florida?

Re: Is there a big snow storm coming after Santa arrives?

I don't think we have any more snow coming today; the outcome is too close to call. The weather officials estimate that we got .01 in. of precipitation which should equate to .1 in. of snow, thus making T. the winner but they estimate that we got .2 in. of snow so that would make greenRanger364v the winner.

So.......if you would both go to the link below and send me an email with your address, I will send you each a lure.

As for my prediction? I was spot on....for Ocean City MD!

Ice free Gravely?

As I understand it, Gravelly may be ice free (for the most part) due to the strong tidal current from Roaches Run. The WC was open as of the 23rd (last time I looked at it) but the river is mostly frozen. It's still cold and even with a few days in the 40s, the night time temps will still be at or below freezing.

I just talked to my mom in Miami, windy there too....and cold, high of 60 today!
