pavilion

i continue to be mystified by this piece of water

i caught a bass yesterday that was a few ticks over 2#'s

i was dragging a green J&P

my methods are random.

there are now 4 different areas in the back where i have caught fish

i feel like i am surfishing-kinda the old 'this looks good' & giv'r a heave approach

i havnt caught any fish in more than a few feet of water, except when invading the 'no-fly' zone around the marina ( not that I ever would ) 'no fishing' signs now total 3. even i get the idea...

i have had little success targeting shoreline irregularities, which was the ticket for impressive #'s of bass in cedar '09

the water seems clean enough for some crankbaits

water quality look really good throughout AV for that matter. the tidy bowl man must have gotten an appropriation for ABC

That's good but it's all about aesthetics....

Re: pavilion

my cedar experiences recently have left me empty handed.  I have fished the pavilion twice, and both times have caught some nice 2#'ers. everything i have done has been opposite bank of where the pavilion is, back towards the back.  I can't use j&p, because I pull up way too much salad....

Re: pavilion

i fished this evening w/ green pepper senkos

i did ok , 1/2 a dozen dinks.

my first fish was a really good one--deep heavy lunges, I never saw it.
i had the spool off recently, and never bothered to soften up the drag properly.
the fish was swimming toward me, i knew it was decent, then i realized it was acting really big.
i was starting to dial back  when it turned for deep water and snapped the line like sewing thread.
i blew it

so, live and learn...
