15 DC Rockfish (4-29-10) + PICS

Bob Morgan met me at Gravely Point this morning at 5:15 and we headed upriver.  Brought along some fresh frozen herring.............and glad I did.  No herring were to be found in the river today.  We started out with a few catfish, but then the stripers started to cooperate.  Final talley was 13 catfish up to 8 pounds, 15 rockfish up to 25.5", and 3 shad.  Here are the PICS of some of the fish.

Nice!

I gather that you are cutting the bait into chunks? How big of chunks do you use for stripers? What type of rigs do you use? Bottom rigs with rubber bands?

I think I might! I'm very new to the whole Fletcher's, shad, herring, striper stuff.

Well done gents!

If it were easy, they'd call it catching!

That's why I need educated! Up until this spring I would have never tried to fish at Fletcher's or for any of those species.
