Got a late start but needed to get up there to meet up with Josh...he is making me a custom spinning rod....with my name on it....how cool is that!
Anyway, lots of boats and lots of tackle and lots of guides. Good show...long drive.
I did spend an hour at Capt. Richie Gaines's seminar.....one of the best around (speaker and guide). I have fished with him and heard him on several occassions but I learn someting new every time.
I will be spending more time iat Eastern Bay this year, it's closer than Cobb Island and it has much more potential. So who's up for giving it a shot (stripers, blues etc)?

good to see ya again ernie
how was the traffic on the way back?
the gps was trying to send me down 29, but it was smoothing sailing all the way from 695 to 70 to 340

Luckily, the traffic was fine going back....all the earlier accidents were cleared up.
I also spent some time talkig to Capt. Mike Starrett and Guide Mark Kovach. Both are very colorful individuals. Mark is an Upper Potomac Guide (3 man pontoon boat). I took his advanced fly casting class last year (Harpers Ferry WV) and it made a huge difference in my casting abilities.
