NoVA CCA Banquet- March 6

The Northern Virginia CCA Chapter is pleased to invite you to our Tenth Annual Dinner and Auction taking place on Saturday, March 6th, 2010 at 6:00 pm.  This year’s event will be at The Shriners Kena Temple in Fairfax, VA.  We have been working very hard with our donors and supporters in gathering a wide array of Auction items that are sure to impress – We expect to have over $20,000 of Merchandise.

We are extremely grateful to all of our Supporters and thank them for their part in helping CCA Conserve, Protect, and Restore our marine resources.

This Fundraiser will help our Chapter with many activities this year, including the “Save a Kid – Catch a Fish” trip we host each summer, guest speakers, and our contributions to the State CCA office who leads our conservation efforts.

Our event is an excellent opportunity to meet many fellow conservationists, pick up some very nice Auction items, and have a great time!  Several folks are buying full tables and inviting their friends and co-workers for a nice evening out. This year’s event will be catered, featuring Hors D’oeuvres, Dinner, and a Full Bar.  We are offering an EARLY BIRD coupon worth $20 off any Auction item for tickets purchased prior to February 28th.

Re: NoVA CCA Banquet- March 6

I am on the raffle committee and the amount of stuff to be raffled off is SICK!

There will be a live auction, a silent auction and a bucket raffle. As well there will be 1-2 more raffles for individual items.

This is one not to miss!

I will post a list as soon as we get one put together.

Re: NoVA CCA Banquet- March 6

Ernie -

Thanks for Posting -

I know you have a very solid group of Fisherman on your Forum - the reports are excellent -

I hope that some of the folks will give this event a try - Last year, we had one guy that attended, bought one book of tickets for 30.00 - and won the $1000.00 Kayak -(he later traded it for a Canoe which we helped arrange over at LL Bean - TRUE STORY.

So.... you have seen the huge list of goodies from Ernie -

attached is a link to our website that actually has a slide show from last years event - You may recognize a few faces -

Point and click to the March 2009 newsletter  - enjoy - and hope to see some of you there...

Just got off the phone with Capt. Lee Tippett who has donated a trip that can be taken pre (LTT or LTJ) or post (LTJ or LL) trophy season trip for up to 4 people.

He and Chrissy will be at the event!

Re: NoVA CCA Banquet- March 6

Report for last night:

Full house

Lots of bidding wars both at silent and live auctions! I didn't get a chance to do much of that as I was hawking raffle tickets for the bucket raffle (36 prizes).

Four of the Captains that donated trips were able to attend and watch their trips sell for more than their normal fee! They were whooping it up!

A great time was had by all!

This is a prime event and officials from CCA VA were impressed....kudos to Rob Allen for his leadership.

On a serious note, the CCA fights hard for conservation...the type that we , as fishermen, want and need.
