Pacemaker Fishing Forum

For anyone that is interested, Dan Davala (Orvis Arlington) will be speaking at the next Northern Virginia Trout Unlimited meeting this Thursday, February 4, 2010, 7:30 - 9:00 p.m., at the  Vienna Firehouse, Vienna, Virginia.  The topic will be:  Fishing The Tidal Potomac With A Two-Handed Rod.

He will bring all of the different rods and line configurations that he has used over the past year, and will discuss their pros and cons.  Of course, there will be an emphasis on the upcoming Shad and Striper run, but he will also intend to highlight all of the fishing opportunities we have in this river once the Shad have moved on.  In addition, he will discuss using Spey casting techniques when fishing with a single hand rod to maximize efficiency where back casting space is limited.
