Cedar and Pavilion 5/i9

Took my daughter out fishing yesterday! big_smile big_smile big_smile

We went to Cedar for a little bit and didn't get much love. She needed a bathroom break so we did that and then went to Pavilion. There she got a lot of bites but being only 3 she wasn't paying attention much and missed a number of fish. We were able to land 2 bluegill though! I wanted to keep it simple so I just used a trout magnet under a bobber.

I think next time I'll need to use some sort of bait for faster paced action. Aside from worms what else works well? Spam? Balled up bread?

So it begins!

I like 1" Berkley Powerbait minnows for panfish. Just nose hook them with a size 4 or 6 circle hook.

I've read that canned corn kernels work well for bluegill - - won't come off as easy as dough.  Going to test the theory this weekend.

Berkeley 1" minnows and canned corn. Thanks for the suggestions! I remember using canned corn to go after carp! That was a lot of fun!

I sure did! I had no idea there was a mirror carp in the Ashburn lakes. Really cool!
